Why did Simon Morris get married?

14 Oct

I saw this article on the Daily Mail web site and I seem to wonder why there’s any need to get married. Thankfully I’m not considering marriage at all–or at least a very, very, very long time.

Simon Morris, from Wales and a father-to-be, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for the attempted murder of his pregnant wife, Nerys Price. He was in tremendous debt, and staged a fake robbery in order to off his wife and tap into £500,000 of her estate. Did I forget he had a mistress?

I don’t understand why anyone like Morris desires marriage and womanizes at the same time. You can’t have it both ways. If he wanted to run away with his mistress, why stay married? Why even think of marriage in this first place? If he was unattached, then he wouldn’t resort to going great lengths to try to get his wife murdered.

So what’s the use of marriage these days? It’s just a contract with a few signatures.

Moonies Attack!

14 Oct

The Moonies are at it again with their mass weddings. I find it interesting weird to go to a wedding…and 1,000 other couples are sharing the limelight as well. Luckily, I don’t intend to get married anytime soon, so the chances of me ending up in these ceremonies are nil.
